A charming family-run equestrian center situated five miles from Bantry, nestled in the picturesque Mealagh Valley. We warmly welcome beginners, and our carefully chosen Irish Cobs provide a safe and enjoyable way to experience riding in the beautiful Irish countryside.

We maintain small group sizes, ensuring that all riders are fully accompanied and supervised throughout their experience.

Our private trails wind around the farm and ascend to the summit of Mullaghmesha, standing at 580m above sea level. The panoramic views from the top are stunning, showcasing a vast expanse of the West Cork coastline and the majestic Kerry mountains.

Before setting off, riders complete an assessment form, and we provide helmets, body protectors, and riding boots. You’ll meet your horse and begin your adventure—though we recommend taking it slow! Initially, you’ll mount in a safe enclosed arena where we will guide you on proper posture, how to hold the reins, and how to steer your horse in a quick four-minute lesson. For those who are new or a bit anxious, a guide will walk alongside you for reassurance at all times.

Additionally, we offer opportunities for further hands-on learning in horse and pony care, particularly for young horse enthusiasts. Participants can dive deeper into grooming, tacking up, and understanding the joys and responsibilities that come with horse ownership, all under expert supervision.
