Who we are
Irish Daily publishes this site. You can reach us at contact@irishdaily.ie or irishdaily@outlook.com about anything on this page.
What this site collects
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookie and collects no personal data: it tells us which pages were seen, roughly where from and on what kind of device, nothing about who you are. Cloudflare sees your IP address to answer the request and does not keep it as part of the count. No advertising networks and no tracking pixels; your visit is not profiled or passed to anybody.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, so it can serve the pages and keep the server running. Those logs are kept for a short period on a rolling basis.
The events listings
When a page with event listings opens, your browser asks this site for the latest listings. The site fetches them from our own events service, which runs on Cloudflare, and your IP address is not passed on to it. Nothing else is sent, and nothing is stored about you.
The forms
The forms on the advertise and contact pages ask for your name or business, what you are after and an email address. The advertise form can also take your social media handle and a phone number if you want to give them; we may look at the public page you point us to so we know your business before we reply. The form for telling us about an event asks for the event's name, place, county and dates, an optional link and note, and your email address; we use the event details to look at the event and your email only to ask you about it. We use what you send for those reasons and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell what you send us and we do not pass it on. We keep an enquiry while the conversation is live and for up to twelve months after it, then delete it.
The forms reach our inbox through Formspree, a form service based in the United States, so what you send passes through Formspree's servers on the way and is handled there under Formspree's own privacy policy.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box, and our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you sent us.
What is stored on your device
No cookies. When you tap Got it on the privacy notice, your browser remembers that so the notice does not come back; nothing is sent anywhere. If you use the search, the site may remember your last few searches in your own browser so you can pick them up again; that list never leaves your device and you can clear it from the search panel. The help panel remembers which menu you were on in the same way until you close the tab.
Maps
The maps on this site are drawn by the site itself. A place page also links to Google Maps for directions and to OpenStreetMap. Neither is contacted until you follow the link; then that site sees your IP address, under its own privacy policy.
Fonts, photographs and files
Every font, photograph and stylesheet is served from this site, and so is every script bar the one small Cloudflare counting script above. Nothing else is loaded from another site: no Google Fonts and no outside libraries.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it or to give it to you in a form you can take elsewhere, or object to us holding it. Where you gave your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to contact@irishdaily.ie or irishdaily@outlook.com.
If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes
If this policy changes we change the date on it. Last updated 9th October 2026.
